nimmy and Archer Evolv Compliance: who each one is for

Archer indexes 21 million documents across 230 jurisdictions with 130 specialists checking them. We index 22,000. Here is when that matters and when it does not.

Archer Evolv Compliance is the platform formerly sold as Compliance.ai, now part of Archer. If you are comparing it against us, the first thing worth saying is that on the axis it leads with, it wins, and not narrowly.

Those are not numbers we expect to match, and a comparison page that pretended otherwise would be the sort of document neither of us would take seriously. What follows is the argument for why coverage is not the only axis, and where it stops being the deciding one.

The difference that is not about size

Archer Evolv is a regulatory change platform. It monitors sources, extracts obligations, and connects them out to controls and evidence — its own description is lineage from regulation to control to examiner-ready evidence, with integrations into the GRC systems that hold the control environment.

nimmy is the GRC platform. The risk register, the control library with its tests and attestations, the policy library with versions and approvals, the obligation register, assurance reviews, issues, incidents and the actions they raise are the product, not the far end of an integration. Regulatory change is one of several streams that disturb that environment — an incident, an audit finding, a failed control test and a changed regulation all arrive through the same two doors, an obligation you now carry or an issue somebody has to fix.

That is an architectural difference rather than a feature-list one, and it decides the question you should actually be asking: whether you want the best possible feed into the system of record you already have, or you want the system of record.

The difference we would defend on any scale

We keep every page we fetch. Not a link and a date — the bytes that came back, hashed, compared against the last time we asked, with the differences recorded. We hold 23,965 such copies and 1,423 recorded revisions, and we can show you what a page said on the day you assessed it against what it says now.

That matters more than it sounds, because regulators edit published pages in place and mostly do not announce it. We found 802 substantive revisions in ten months, including an ASIC media release from 2023 carrying its eighteenth appended editor’s note. If your evidence of an assessment is a link, and the page behind the link has been rewritten, you do not have evidence.

Which one to buy

Choose Archer Evolv Compliance

  • You operate across many jurisdictions and need breadth we do not have. 230 against our 32 is not a gap we will close this year.
  • You need coverage in languages beyond English, at volume.
  • You want regulatory analysts checking the extraction, which is a service rather than a feature and one we do not offer at all.
  • You already run a GRC system of record you are happy with, and what you are buying is the feed into it.
  • You need to buy something now. We are in pilot and admission is by invitation.

Choose nimmy

  • You want one platform holding the control environment and the changes to it, rather than a feed plus an integration plus a GRC suite.
  • You need to prove what a regulatory page said on the day you assessed it, and that a control mapped to a clause is still mapped to the same words.
  • Your regulatory surface is concentrated — Australia, the UK, Hong Kong, Singapore — rather than global, so breadth past a point buys you nothing.
  • You are an advisory firm wanting client workspaces with confidentiality walls, rather than seats on a feed.
  • You would rather a deadline be missing than wrong, and want to see the source document behind every date.

What we are not going to claim

We are not going to tell you we catch more than a platform with 130 analysts and twenty-one million documents. We catch what we cover, we say what we cover, and we are explicit on our deadlines page about the dates we leave off because we cannot stand behind them. A shorter list that is right is the product we are building; if the longer list is what you need, the link above goes to the people who have it.

Archer Evolv Compliance figures are as published at compliance.ai and read on 18 September 2026; they may have changed since, and their site is the authority on them. nimmy figures are counted from our own index on 18 September 2026. Nothing here is a statement about the quality of Archer’s product, which we have not used.
